Refund policy
Refund Policy for Web3.Market
Effective Date:
Web3.Market ("we," "us," or "our") operates a digital blockchain file marketplace (the "Service") that allows users to buy, sell, transfer, and manage digital files secured on blockchain networks. This Refund Policy outlines our approach to refunds for transactions conducted on the Service. Due to the nature of blockchain technology and our weekly payout schedule to sellers (including developers), our policy is strict to ensure fairness, security, and operational efficiency.
By using the Service, you agree to this Refund Policy, which is incorporated into our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not make purchases on the Service. We may update this Refund Policy from time to time, and we will notify you of material changes by posting the updated version on our website and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
Important: Due to blockchain immutability and weekly seller payouts, all sales are final except for the limited cases outlined below.
1. General Principles
All transactions on Web3.Market are facilitated through blockchain networks and smart contracts, making them irreversible and immutable once confirmed. As a result, we operate on an "all sales final" basis. Refunds are not available for completed purchases, except in limited circumstances explicitly outlined in this Policy. This strict approach is necessary because:
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed without consensus from the network, which is often impractical or impossible.
- Sellers, including developers, receive payouts on a weekly basis, meaning funds are disbursed promptly and cannot be easily clawed back.
- Digital files (e.g., NFTs, downloadable content) are delivered instantly upon transaction confirmation, and we cannot prevent further use or distribution once accessed.
We encourage buyers to conduct thorough due diligence, review listings carefully, and verify seller reputations before completing any transaction.
2. No Refunds for Buyer Regret or Changes of Mind
Refunds will not be issued for reasons such as:
- Buyer's remorse, dissatisfaction with the digital file, or changes in personal circumstances.
- Failure to read or understand the listing description, metadata, or associated licenses.
- Technical issues on the buyer's end, such as incompatible wallets, devices, or software.
- Fluctuations in cryptocurrency values or market conditions post-purchase.
- Accidental purchases or user errors during the transaction process.
Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it is considered final and non-refundable.
3. Limited Exceptions for Refunds
Refunds may be considered only in the following exceptional cases, at our sole discretion:
- Platform Errors: If a technical error attributable to Web3.Market (e.g., a glitch in our smart contract or interface) directly causes a failed delivery of the digital file, we may facilitate a refund or replacement. This does not include blockchain network issues, gas fee failures, or third-party wallet errors.
- Fraud or Misrepresentation: If we determine, after investigation, that a seller engaged in fraud (e.g., selling counterfeit or non-existent assets) and the transaction can be reversed before seller payout, we may process a refund. However, once weekly payouts have occurred, refunds are not possible, and disputes must be resolved directly between buyer and seller.
- Legal Requirements: Refunds may be issued if required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory authority. In such cases, we will comply but may deduct any associated fees or costs.
To request a refund under these exceptions, you must contact us within 48 hours of the transaction via the details below, providing detailed evidence (e.g., transaction ID, screenshots, and explanations). We will review requests on a case-by-case basis and respond within 7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed in the original cryptocurrency used, minus any applicable network fees, platform fees, or administrative costs.
4. Seller Responsibilities and Payouts
Sellers are responsible for accurate listings and fulfilling transactions promptly. Weekly payouts to sellers mean that funds from transactions are disbursed every seven days, reducing the window for potential refunds. Sellers agree that any approved refunds may result in deductions from future payouts or require repayment if funds have already been disbursed.
5. Dispute Resolution
If a refund request is denied, or if you have a dispute with a seller, we recommend resolving it amicably between parties. Web3.Market is not a mediator and does not guarantee outcomes. For unresolved issues, refer to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Use, which may involve arbitration.
6. Third-Party Transactions
Refunds for interactions with third-party services (e.g., external wallets, payment gateways, or linked blockchains) are governed by their policies. We are not responsible for refunds related to gas fees, network congestion, or external failures.
